Field Trip – sad news

Hi Field Trippers,

It comes with great sadness that we have to report to you the cancellation of this years Field Trip Festival.

Field Trip is a not-for-profit event that relies on income in order for us to cover the costs involved in putting the event on. We don’t make money on FIeld Trip, but can’t afford to lose any money either. Unfortunately, we’re at a stage where we simply don’t have enough funding to allow us to plan the event to the standard that we would like.

We’ve left this decision as long as we could, hoping that we would have more income by now. But with only 8 weeks to go we’re at a point where we need to start committing to suppliers, and simply don’t have enough paid-up income to pay for everything so unfortunately have had to cancel the event.

Thank you to those of you who have already come up with great contributions for this year, hopefully there will be another opportunity in the future for you to put those ideas into practice…

For those people who have committed and paid, we’ll return the full amount over the next couple of weeks (please forward your bank details).

Field Trip 2011

hey everyone,

we’ve been beavering away, meeting with field trippers from last year and gearing up for Field Trip 2011. we have some exciting treats instore, and some great ideas already from people. its looking to be even bigger and better than last year.

if you have any ideas for this year that you’d like to share then please do, and if you want to come along but haven’t committed yet, then get in touch with either russell or lucy to book your place. there is still some room left so if you have friends who might want to join us then let us know.

New Field Trip Website

Hi there,

This is the new Field Trip website. The aim is to bring together photos, videos, stories, comments, event results from Field Trip 2010, plus news of any future events that we might think of putting on…and YES we are going to consider whether Field Trip 2011 is a going to happen. It was amazing fun to work on with all of you but we do need a bit of a break to carry on with our normal lives before we announce anything either way.

Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make this such an amazing event. Please send us all your photos, stories, comments, or whatever else you can think of to help us build this site.
